Description
Queen Gwen is an illustration of Queen Guinevere from the series Merlin. I always wanted to paint this particular scene of Guin. Their choice of chooseing the actress Angel Colbey to play queen Guinevere was truly the only reason I watched the show as long as I did.Creating a peice of her just embodies everything my art stands for. A beautiful black woman being cast as a mythical character.....because....why not. No one truly knows what race Guin really was. Why couldn't she have been black.
