Lisa Falkenstern has been an artist for more than thirty years, painting almost a thousand book covers for most of the major publishers.
She is a Gold Medal winner from the N.Y. Society of Illustrators and has won many awards the L.A. Society of Illustrators, 3x3, Creativity International, as well as being in the annuals of Spectrum, Creativity, and Infected By Art. Lisa is in the permanent collection of the N.Y. Society of Illustrators and the N.Y. State Museum.
Lisa has illustrated the picture books The Busy Tree, My Very Own Pirate Book and is the author and illustrator of A Dragon Moves In, and Professor Whiskerton Presents Steampunk ABC.
Lisa is in a book about women fantasy painters, Women of Wonder and she is one of artists in Paperbacks from Hell, a book on the horror paperbacks of the 70’s and 80’s.
Her fine art is in many private collections. She paints in oils, acrylic and egg tempera and shows her magic realist art at the Gallery Piquel in Lambertville, NJ.
